How to Feng Shui Your Home in 2022

The Year of the Tiger

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  

Be prepared for the Wild Ride during this year!

The Year 2022 (after 2/4) is the Year of Tiger based on the Oriental Zodiac system.

The Tiger represents POWER, BOLDNESS, and COURAGE and it has the ability to take action.

With that said, if you are planning to make any bold decisions and to take some actions, this may be a great year for it.

We are still going through the pandemic on a global scale, and we still have some limitations as to what we can do. However, regardless of what is happening in your life and in your world, you always have two choices to make.

Please note that it’s totally up to you to choose which decision to make. You have a CHOICE!

So, it’s important to ask which choice to make; 1) you can hold onto the old attachments, behaviors, thought patterns, and specific actions that you used to do, by waiting and complaining until things get normal again. Or, 2) based on what we can do and how things are right now, you can make new choices, new plans, and take new actions to keep moving forward, no matter what is happening in the world now.

This year can bring some challenges to you, but these challenges are not a punishment at all. These challenges can help you think out of the box, help you take new actions that you haven’t tried in the past, and as a result, you can overcome these challenges and improve the quality of your life tremendously.

Things move so quickly this year and there seems no time to pause and wait. If you don’t ride on this wave, you may miss opportunities to catch the Wave of Fortune.

It’s highly recommended to be ATTENTIVE to what is happening in the world, be CREATIVE, and be OPEN to CHANGE!!!

Based on the traditional Feng Shui system, there is a specific formula called ‘Flying Star’ which will let us know the LUCKY and UNLUCKY directions for each year.

Knowing this information, you can make some adjustments, and apply cures to neutralize and balance negativity and to welcome the maximum Good Fortune!!!

Out of the several Feng Shui methods, I use the COMPASS method since I believe each direction is associated with a specific element and symbolism.

Just like we have organs for specific purposes in order for our body to function in a proper way, our house has 9 sectors (8 directions + 1 for the center). Each sector moves in a specific direction every year. By understanding what each sector represents, we can adjust the environment to Balance and Harmonize energy to attract Good Fortune. You can check below to find out which sector is Lucky or Unlucky direction during the Year 2022.

Position of the Flying Stars in 2022

This information will be applied after 2/4/2022!

LUCKY DIRECTIONS: N=1, SE=4, NW=6, NE=8, S=9

UNLUCKY DIRECTIONS: SW=2, E=3, CENTER, W=7

Note: To identify the Directions, please stand at the center of the house and check each direction by using the compass.

Before activating the Lucky directions, it’s important to cure the Unlucky directions.

#1 NORTH (Water) = The Star of VICTORY (LUCKY STAR) 

If you want to reach for success by overcoming obstacles for your career, NORTH is a good location to activate!

Lucky Items: Blue Candles in a bowl of water, Windchime in hollow of brass or copper, Small aquarium. Any items that make you feel SUCCESSFUL!

#2 SOUTHWEST (Earth) = The STAR of ILLNESS 

During this year, it’s important to harmonize the area of Southwest because it’s prone to promote health challenges including sickness, injuries and/or accidents during this year.

Lucky Items: Do Not Activate during the year

Cures: Metal or Gold items on the wall or on the table

#3 EAST (Wood) = The STAR of HOSTILE / QUARRELSOME

If you want to prevent any conflict, misunderstanding, opposition and prosecution, and lawsuits among family members/friends/colleagues, it’s important to balance the EAST. You don’t want to activate this area too much during the year of 2022.

Lucky Items: Do Not Activate during the year

Cures: Red Candles, Red cushions, Red-colored display items

#4 SOUTHEAST (Wood) = The STAR of ROMANCE / LOVE & ACADEMY)

If you want to activate Romance, bring forth Good Luck in education and academics, it’s important to make sure Southeast areas of the bedroom, living room, and den/office are activated with displaying Lucky items.

Lucky Items: Small Indoor Fountain, Bonsai tree, Lucky Bamboos in water

#5 CENTER = The STAR of MISFORTUNE / BAD LUCK 

If you want to prevent having any sort of bad luck including loss of wealth, loss of income, loss of wellness, damage to relationships, and anything else that is considered a negative experience, it’s a good idea not to activate the center of the house and apply the Feng Shui remedy to neutralize the center with Metal elements.

Lucky Items: Do Not Activate during the year

Cures: Metal statue, Metal items, Selenite Crystal

#6 NORTHWEST (Metal)= The STAR of HEAVEN / The CELESTIAL STAR 

Northwest is a direction that can promote good fortune during this year. It’s recommended to spend a lot of time in this area if you want to receive plenty of good fortune.

Lucky Items: Terracotta or Metal items, Ceramics, Windchimes in hollow tubes of copper or brass

#7 WEST (Metal) = The STAR of ROBBERY / VIOLENCE

West, during this year, is the direction that is associated with violence, robbery, loss of finance. It’s important to apply a remedy for this area.

Lucky Items: Do Not Activate during the year

Cures: Water element items: Blue Metal object, Small Metal wind chime from the ceiling, Selenite crystal

#8 NORTHEAST (Earth) = The STAR of PROSPERITY

Northeast during this year is the direction that can bring good fortune, prosperity, and abundance.

Lucky Items: Install a lamp, an electric light, ceramic items, terra-cotta statue that represents Abundance

#9 SOUTH = The STAR of FUTURE PROSPERITY / MULTIPLICATIVE STAR

As its name indicates, this star symbolizes the multiplication of positive events in your future life. This can bring fame, recognition, and popularity in personal life, family, and career. This is not limited to material goods and things but also for spiritual development.

Lucky Items: Healthy Indoor plant, Wooden statue, Red candles, Red items

When you place CURES, please place them with specific intention and prayer by saying "thank you for protecting our house from misfortunes (for the Center), conflicts (for SW), sickness (for E), etc.," depending on the location.

Then, when you place LUCKY ITEMS to activate the areas of Lucky directions, you can place them with intention by saying "thank you for bringing us Victory (for N), Prosperity (for NE), etc.," depending on the location. 

Feng Shui is the Art of energy and placement, and its method is used to enhance the quality of our lives. Applying specific cures/items can vary based on the Personal Trigram of the owner of the household.
